It’s that time of year again — photography award season! I recently threw my hat in the ring for the 18th International Color Awards, which is a pretty big deal in the world of color photography. It celebrates the best of the best from both pro and amateur photographers around the globe, with a huge annual comp and a big online photo show.

I entered a bunch of work I created over the past year, mainly in my go-to categories: Still Life, Advertising, and Fine Art. Out of thousands of entries worldwide, I was stoked (and honestly a bit shocked!) to have all 8 of my submitted pieces shortlisted.

Even better, one of those — a shot I created for the Tim Tam Caffe Latte launch — picked up an Honorable Mention in the Advertising category. That image was a bit of a beast: flying food, splashing coffee, a hero pack front and center — basically a still life that’s bursting with movement. Super technical but also full of raw creativity… sounds like one of mine 😄

Huge shoutout to Arnott’s for trusting me with the creative freedom to go wild, and a big thanks to Sharon Kennedy for the incredible food styling — couldn’t have done it without you.
