As a Sydney food photographer it’s hard to ask me not to play with my food so I use this as inspiration to create a mini landscape using only food items.
The “don’t play with your food” line is a common one from most childhoods and using this as the initial inspiration I decided to create a fantasy dark scary forest with nothing better suited to scare kids than broccoli which was used as the main tree line accompanied with rosemary sprigs to add depth. Mushrooms and micro herbs were then added as the lower ground shrubs with cinnamon and coffee grounds as the forest floor. A dark blue looking background was used behind the scene and to finalise the effect a smoke machine was added.
I am sure the end result wouldn’t promote kids to eat more vegetables but it was sure fun building this image.
