Schneider Electric recently commissioned Ben Cole Photography as a still life photographer to create product photography to match current imagery and fit in the global guidelines. The imagery is catalogued together with other global regions so perfect execution was required.
It was a massive project and we shot around 1,000 products over three 1 weeks sessions on location at the Schneider distribution centre in Ingleburn greater Sydney. The products were reasonable straight forward but did range is size from large cabinets 2-3 metres in size to small electrical clips a few centimetres in size. Schneider provided the location, shot list and items with all further aspects including lighting, production, retouching and cataloguing being managed and executed by my team.
Although a reasonable simple lighting setup each item required cross checking to specific angles and positions, along with cataloguing, naming and final file specifics applied. All images were supplied with clipping paths and as .epi files as per the requirements and were supplied to a global ftp service for use in catalogue, marketing and digital purpose.
